Most group classes run continually throughout the
year except
where noted.
Students are welcome to drop-in for class at the Jewish
Community Center (JCC), First Unitarian Church, and
Awareness Center.

Continuing level classes on both days. Fit beginning level
students are welcome to attend.
Fees:
Non-members of the JCC must first purchase a group fitness
class card in order to attend class.
Class
cards can be purchased online using a credit or debit
card,
or in person at the JCC Pincus/Grant Fitness Center
front desk. A ten-class fitness card costs $120.00.
Cards purchased online will be held for pickup at the
Fitness Center front desk.

Suitable for students at a beginning or continuing level.
The class emphasizes exercises and postures to open the
shoulders and hips, and extend the torso and legs. Postures
can be modified to acommodate students with limited
flexibility or other physical limitations.
Fees: $16/class.
Fees are due for the entire month the first week of class.
Missed, prepaid classes may be made up on Tuesday or
Wednesday evening elsewhere in Wilmington, or credit is
granted toward payment for the following month's classes.

This is an ongoing, continuing level class. Beginners are
always welcome to attend.
Fees:
$16/class. Fees are due for the entire month the first week
of class. Due to the small class size, class members commit
to paying the entire month's fees, whether they are
available to attend all classes within the month.

Awareness
Center
Classes run September through July
Wednesday 8:15 - 9:45 AM (Yoga Level I/II - Continuing
level).
Yoga Level I/II explores the standing, seated, twisting,
balancing and backward extendion postures in detail.
Students are introduced to Salamba Sarvangasana (Supported
Shoulder Stand) plus variations. As students become
proficient, they are introduced to Salamba Sirsasana
(Supported Head Stand) and Adho Mukha Vrksasana (full arm
balance). Students able to practice Ardha Candrasana (Half
Moon Pose) balancing in the room, and Supta Padangusthasana
II while lying down and keeping the side leg straight and
at right angle to the hip are welcome (and ready) for this
class.
Wednesday 10:00 — 11:30 AM (Yoga Level I - Beginning level
- 'Yoga for Seniors').
'Yoga for Seniors' is a Yoga Level I class open to all but
focused on the needs and abilities of older students. This
class focuses on extension, broadening, and strengthening
of the legs, hips, trunk, and arms. Standing balances are
introduced includiing Vrksasana (Tree pose) and Ardha
Candrasana (Half Moon pose). Postures are modified as
required to accommodate student needs and abilities.

level; non-credit course number GFN 170)
Classes run for consecutive 6-week sessions from September
through December, and January through May.
Students must reenroll for
each session to continue in class.
